Design Statement
Until the End of Life, Love, & Lust was a part of the Iconic Pop concert at the University of Texas at El Paso. This piece was a commentary on dominance and submissiveness as well as gender roles in our society. This production utilized twelve surfaces that went from static to images that connected to the specific section of the show. All of these images were made to look like this was being done at the turn of the century and while helping progress the story it also solidified a timeframe for this piece. The content choices and screen placement were created in close collaboration with the choreographer, and this piece also did a paired-down showing in a gallery across campus to promote the show. For the gallery show, I redesigned the show from the initial twelve surfaces down to three screens to give those watching a general feeling of what to expect at the concert.
