Design Statement
in-between was a conceptual movement piece about life on the border. This piece was partially devised by the movers themselves using stories from their daily lives. Lighting this piece was a unique challenge in creating realist lighting of the El Paso, TX border region. I intentionally broke from the realistic lighting during several moments in this show, especially when our projection wall was rolling through the space and dancing with the performers.
